dispute with "brother" upstairs

I rented room 220 to Mr. Wilson and he and his wife came down and told me that the room was not clean -- I looked at the room and informed the manager about it (this is the third time that I rented a room that was not clean). I put the Wilsons in room 472.

10-07-04, 5:10am

Room 331, Mr Carpenter came down to the office and said that someone from Room 332 was trying to come through the window. I went to the room and found that the two people were sound asleep. This is the second time that Mr Carpenter has told me that someone has come into his room from Room 332. On this day there was NO ONE in the room at all.

At 11:30 pm the man in 332 came into the hotel and went to his room. He was paid through the next day. He came down and told me all his clothes were gone and his bed was made. The housekeeper threw his stuff away. He found his socks in the trash outside and did not want to look in the trash any further. I called the manager and he agreed to pay the man for his clothes in the morning.

(This is the 2nd time clothes god thrown away from the hotel after the housekeeper knew to keep everything found in the rooms).

Carl Carter did not pay for his room. He said he'd be back. Checkked the room, assumed to be empty, and found an unauthorized guest sleeping in there. She informed us she was Carl's girlfriend. She was removed and he now owes for the room plus one guest.

10/30/04, 11am

Room 213 -- Nicky Peterson paid for the room on 10/27. The second guest came in later, but was not present on payment. At check out time the guest came back and asked for Nicky's deposit back. I told her I needed her to bring down the towels. One towel got lost and I charged her $3. She cursed me out and yelled profanities telling me she would have her boys kill me. Since I know she didn't pay I told her to have the primary come and sign for her own deposit. The police came and told her to leave. She took a grievance form and the manager's name. I did nothing to this woman but she insisted I was racist against her.

12/04/04, Room 327, 8:15pm

Kim Stevens boyfriend came down stating that Kim is under a lot of stress. He asked if we would check on her. I said, "All we will do is rounds, but would not disturb her." I asked, "Is she suicidal?" He didn't know, but she might become very aggritated. I asked, "Why don't you stay" and he said he could not babysit her. I said, "We aren't babysitters either, and we are not a medical facility." He said he understood, then he left.

12/04/04, Room 330

Boss of Robert Jackson showed up asking if Robert was here. He is not. Boss claims Robert has work equipment and needs to return it or she'll call police.

This evening while on swing shift someone came down and told me they saw someone being sneaked up from the second floor exit to the third floor. Earlier I told the person in room 340 that he could not bring his guest up without an ID. My gut told me to check room 340 and I discovered that someone had been sneaked into the room. I told the person in 240 that his guest had to leave and he said he was sorry it won't happen again. I thought this should be brought to the management's attention.

On Tuesday afternoon 201 informed me of a guest (possibly 203) illegally entering the building from the lobby exit closest to the front of the building.

2/23/05, 1:45am, Room 472

Lena Wallace and a guest were verbally fighting and yelling very loud. I asked guest to leave, escorted him to lobby. Lena said he had her room key, he denied it, and fighting started anew. When I told guest to leave he started yelling at me. Lena yelled at me too. At this point I called police & they went back to their room. Police showed up and talked to them and they were quiet the rest of the evening.

202 Showed up at 3am, went to room. 209 said 202 was crawling out window, looking in people's rooms. Left noodles in hallway. Disturbing the peace & complaints.

2/26/05

209 received complaint about playing music too loud, 3 times warned.

3/2/05, Room 333

Officer came to investigate a rape @ Room 211 with Mrs. Dale. (Claims she was tied up in room to a sink). Not much to say at this time.

3/3 Officer came inquiring about Dale, Room 211.

Teresa Williams, Room 326, came in drunk and loud. Police called.

3/7/05, 2am

Reports of loud noises coming from 326's room. Danni White had an unpaid guest -- Teresa Williams. Teresa was drunk and Danni was yelling at her. 201 heard them pushing each other to the ground. After two attempts to quiet them down I remove Teresa from the building. Police were called. The police talked to them & 326 was quiet the rest of the night.

3/8, 11pm

216 Reported a naked man standing in front of the Out of Order shower on the second floor. The man was Yan Jow in 455. Ed sent the man back to his room.

12:30am
216 reported 455 walking around the halls in a towel, attempting to use the out of order shower again.

3/10/05, 7:30am

Lena and Drew were fighting in their room. She was drunk when I approached them I let them know that if they are told again, they must leave the building. This is their last warning.

3/14/05 1:30am

334 said fan in bathroom across hall blew dust and paint chips into his room. Turned the fan off.

2:30am

334 called paramedics. They went upstairs to see him for 15 minutes and then came back down and left. 334 asked for another room for the night -- I gave him the key to 327.

Police were called by Burt, 467. Burt said Diane could not leave & she stole $200 in money. Burt was restraining her and apparently hit Diane. Police took Diane out of building so Burt would not go to jail. Sally was a witness to most of this. Guests called down about fighting. Diane had a black eye.

3/22

Police were called approx. 5:50pm. Room #220 Domestic Violence. Police showed up at 6:15pm and went up to room 220 to speak with the guest. Carl Brown fled police and Maria Cardoza was relocated by police.

Carl Brown showed up at 5:30am. I called police, he left.

3/26/05, 11pm

When I arrived to my shift, 467 was having dispute with "brother" upstairs. 467 called police numerous times. Ed called once as well. The brother was loud and wouldn't leave. He came down to the lobby but wouldn't leave the building. Police arrived and escorted brother from building, 467 went back upstairs. I told them they weren't allowed any more guests.

3/29/05

221 asked me to let woman come up who didn't have ID. He begged for awhile and then went up elevator, leaving woman in outside lobby. A minute later, I heard the stairwell door click. Inspection of the lobby confirmed the woman was gone. I ran upstairs and found her standing outside 221's door. I escorted her from the building. Although I didn't mention any of this to 221, he denied letting her in, acting surprised to see her.

Mrs. Lee asked for an ambulance, complaining about chest pains. When ambulance got here, she felt better and went back upstairs!

4/2/05, 4:30am

211 called police. Sandy said Artie assaulted her. Has payed for two days, is leaving and will come back later. Artie's belongings were ouside door. I moved them downstairs. I checked the building but couldn't find him.
